Hi, I’m Darby—the Nomad Stylist. With 19 years of experience in the beauty industry, my journey began as an assistant in Nashville’s music scene, where I spent two years refining my craft and interning with top stylists serving prominent clients. Later, I became Creative Director at one of North America’s top salons in Fort Collins, CO, shaping my approach to hair, style, and business.

 

Moving to the Roaring Fork Valley brought new challenges, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, but it also sparked something new—Nomad Stylist. Born out of a necessity of circumstance Nomad Stylist started as a mobile styling service and has since evolved into both my salon and brand. I chose the name Nomad because its synonymous with change and exploration, it signifies the art of reinvention—constantly adapting to the ever-shifting surroundings. This reflects not only having to adapt in business but how we adapt and grow throughout life. My expertise lies in custom colors, blonding techniques, and balayage, helping you achieve the style that reflects your individuality.  I'm here to offer guidance as you travel through your ever evolving beauty routines —be that a big change in cut and color or a subtle exploration of your unique style.
